Welcome to my page.

I’ve been drawing since middle school. My drawings were of women,

like a doodle of my teacher and Beyoncé. I also did a few drawings of myself

and Snoop Dogg which are classic to those who've seen them.

As I aged through High School, I always kept my nails

painted. In my foster home, I was the “nail girl," painting all my sisters’ nails.

As for my drawings, I didn’t create as much because I was focused on

preparing for college. In College, however, I continued to keep my nails

painted. I met friends who majored in art, and always wanted to do so,

but I didn’t feel I was as good as them. I was pushed to go with
my "Plan A," which was law. Despite this, after graduating with a

Bachelors in Public Justice and Minor in Theater, I decided to attend my first

‘paint n sip’ and then began collecting my paintings thereafter. Finally,

I believed in my talent and started calling myself an "Artist."

I’m truly grateful for those friends who pushed, inspired and supported me.

They believed in me, when I didn’t. As an Artist, I still enjoyed painting, but as I became a young adult, going to the nail salon was easier. I continued to keep my nails painted, but as I became a young adult, the beauty industry was changing,

so I started to go to the nail salon instead. Little did I know, God was preparing me for something greater.

In March 2020, the world shut down, so it was time for me to do my own nails, again. This was new for me because the industry had changed drastically. I have done acrylic sets on myself a few times in the past, but it was a challenge learning the method. Fortunately, Polygel was easier to use than acrylic. I thank my sister, Liz, for buying into Polygel and "putting me on." I kept watching videos of Polygel, but unbeknownst to her, she motivated me to actually buy into it and start doing my own nail sets. Since perfecting the nail structure took hours for me to do, I only did plain color sets. In May 2022, after years of practice and finally listening to some good advice, I took a leap of faith, began marketing my nails and gained clients of my own. After 2 years of research, content, learning techniques and diving into the nail industry, I realized that I didn’t want to open up a nail salon. I was experiencing back pain and severe allergies from the nail dust. I was also bored since majority of my clients preferred solid color nail sets. So, I started to create press on nails. I, then, realized that I've found my "niche.”

Continuing to create raised my confidence as an Artist. It is now 2024 and I’m grateful for this full circle moment.
